Topic: 2009 Employment Law Update
As HR Professionals, we know the employment laws are constantly changing.  It can be a challenge keeping up.  Join us this month for an extended meeting to get a learn what laws are new and what laws are changing for 2009 as well as how to prepare your organizations for the changes. 

Speaker: Steven M. Chanley, Attorney at Law, Employer Advocates Group LC

Mr. Chanley has 17 years’ experience representing employers in civil and administrative litigation matters including wrongful discharge, trade secret/non-competition, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and wage-hour matters.  He counsels organizations in employment and personnel policy matters and has conducted training seminars for supervisors and human resource professionals.

Mr. Chanley is a member of the ABA Subcommittee on The Development of the Law Under the National Labor Relations Act.  He is also a contributing editor of The Developing Labor Law, the standard treatise used by labor lawyers nationwide, and is Chair of the San Luis Obispo Country Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section.
